Role Overview:
As a Backend Software Engineer for Spacetime, you will be part of the UK R&D team to support the development of new and innovative features. You will work with other software engineers to evolve the Spacetime platform and build features that solve impactful problems for our customers and partners that will change how communication networks are operated around the world. As more and more data gets transmitted through satellite communications, Spacetime is critical to ensuring data efficiently and effectively arrives at its intended destination. The ideal candidate should have experience building distributed systems with cloud technologies and solutions to networking, storage, queueing and other systems challenges.

Director of Contracts (Public Sector) / Facility Security Officer will manage government contracts from initiation to completion, working closely with government customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders. The individual will operate in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, requiring strong business judgment, and data analysis skills. Candidates must be proficient in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and familiar with effective procurement strategies, including Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and deliverables-based contracts. The Director of Contracts will also manage our secured facilities.

This cross-disciplinary role spans optical, mechanical, electrical and software domains, requiring a strong systems mindset and a deep understanding of how components work together to create high-performance, reliable and safe solutions. You’ll work side-by-side with domain experts to ensure Tightbeam systems meet demanding technical, environmental and regulatory requirements. Your work will directly impact the future of high-speed communications across the most challenging and dynamic environments.
Role Overview:
The Aalyria Space team is seeking an expert in the development, implementation, and testing of state-of-the-art adaptive optics (AO) systems, including system architecture, algorithms, hardware, and software. In this role, the Engineer will collaboratively lead the development of a wavefront correction subsystem suitable for high-throughput atmospheric laser communications between Earth and space (at various orbits). The AO engineer will investigate, prototype, develop, and ultimately field the AO hardware and firmware for a Free Space Optical Communications terminal, as well as develop the associated testing and production tools. The successful candidate will be able to balance reliability, affordability, and practicality towards a high-performance AO solution. Demonstrated depth and breadth in atmospheric turbulence, laser propagation through the atmosphere, direct and indirect wavefront estimation, wavefront correction, and signal processing are essential skills for the role.
Role Overview:
Aalyria is seeking a FPGA development Engineer to join our innovative team in our Aalyria Space business unit. In this role, the Engineer will lead the design, development, validation, and delivery of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) platforms for high-speed data communications applications, as well as high accuracy pointing, tracking, and adaptive-optics systems. The successful candidate will have demonstrated depth and breadth in FPGA platforms, including programming languages, available IP cores, different hardware platforms and capabilities.
